wow pwnd, sounds like one of my days.

got my paper back ....A on it, and with the homework all 100%s I have 66% of my grade as a A, so unless I totally missed on the final I should at least get a B or better (I did skimp on one of the longer-harder questions just because I really didnt feel like writing a 4 page essay on TG---).
all done, xmas shopping done, xmas cards---uhm,

started---got derailed by that migraine, hope to finish them up tomorrow night.

It wasn't even the whole day, just a matter of an hour. Oh well. Home now and getting the lights taken care of tomorrow supposedly. And supposed to be picking up the car my dad bought. So ya. Might be rolling in that tomorrow. Which would be cool. 2-door Toyota Camry (1994 though).

Snowing here again. I'm okay with that.

thanks pwnd....and toyota's are great (I have a 97 corolla....still runs like new, ok, it doesnt like the cold so it gets the garage in the winter, but otherwise its still in great condition).....
yeah I have had afternoons like that....I count how many things went wrong and how many could have---usually wind up close number wise

yeah saw that front moving thru the middle of the country...sister said it was going to hit chicago, but instead its going south--so yeah, you will get some of that pwnd.

The old Toyota's are great, the news one not so much lol They had some issues but ya, I think they are fixing them now.

Yup, we got a few inches of snow last night. Oh well. Though it is going to mean I have to clear off my car today before I can replace the headlight and license light...

Welp, got the headlight in the car fixed but the license light is gone. I have to take apart the rear of the car to find it tomorrow... Fun.

Hehe, the car we just bought is now insured and my dad told me that is the one I will drive next semester. So I'm waiting until next week when my dad and I decide to take the car apart. Cause we are going to put it in the garage and put the heater on, as opposed to my plan of garage with no heater. So I'm going to wait cause I can drive the Camry now. Mwhahahaha!

...just dont forget you still need to fix it, nothing like taking it out in february and getting stopped by the local idiots and getting a ticket for something you forgot about last year

heater in garage, that would be nice...my corolla would really appreciate that (heck the heater in the common area has ceased to work, let alone having a heater in a garage that is down a long hall past 3 other garages have heat!)

My dad is the one who is supposed to fix it now, so whatever. He wants me today to go duplicate the "keys" for the Camry... I don't think he understood that for this car one key is all that is needed. We have 2 keys now. Only 1 key is needed to get into and start the car. It isn't like the Olds where you have to use one key to unlock and another to start. So I guess I'll go to Wal-Mart and get 1 copy of one of the keys... Don't know why we need 3 but whatever.

We only use the heater in the garage during the winter when we work in the garage and it is freezing out. It isn't on all the time. Would get way to hot.

I think my corolla actually has 2 different keys---one wont open the trunk only the doors and ignition (had the same for my old honda)...the other is the 'valet' key---so you can keep stuff in your trunk and not have to worry about it getting stolen (yeah right).

and I can understand why he wants the extra key...one for him, one for you and one to stay at home in case he is not around and you lock yourself out---so someone can get the key to you. (same reason we have an extra set of keys for our condo--hubby has one, I have one and there is an extra set with a friend in case we lock ourselves out

Ours has a trunk release in the car. So even if there was a "valet" key, it wouldn't matter as they could still get in the trunk. The other key has Axxes on it, which is a company which makes keys for duplicating. Thus it is simply a duplicate of the original and the grooves all lined up.

It turns out he thought the keys worked like the Olds, where 1 key opened it and another key started it. This car has one key that does it all. So he said we were okay with two as the spare will stay at home. Though we will eventually get a third key since we used to have 2 sets of Olds keys, then my nephew hid it somewhere and thus we had to duplicate a new set. Oh well.

Mmmmm, hot chocolate.

Well I got my student teaching placement. It is in a middle school, like my novice one. So now the question is, is that going to mess with my certification? Cause according to my college, I am supposed to have a teaching experience in a middle school and a high school. I have the middle, but now I won't have a high school one. I didn't see anything in Illinois certification stuff that said I needed a high school placement for my certification (6-12) so who knows... Hopefully the person who placed me responds to my email soon so I can get the meeting out of the way. Supposed to be teaching 7-8th grade science.

yeah that would be a problem....I had to do 2 different schools (since most schools arent k-12) so I did half my time in a high school and the other half in a grade school (pre 3-8 for a total of 11 grades).

finished my xmas cards...now to get them to the post office!

Ya, I don't know what is going to happen, but I doubt I will get a response from the "fantastic" teacher ed dept in time. So I'm just going to email my teacher and see when we can meet and just along with it like it will be fine. I couldn't find anything on isbe.net about having a teaching experience in a high school, so it might just be a college requirement. Who knows...

Gf graduates today, which means sitting there for an hour and a half. Oh well, at least it is in the new arena and it is shorter than usual since they separated the masters and undergrad graduations.

usually mid term graduations are shorter since most peeps graduate in the spring---but good luck anyways.

yeah, I dont know how it works for things other than k-12 stuff, those I KNOW you have to have experience in both settings to qualify.......good luck getting ahold of anyone in the next 2 weeks.

edit weather update....looks like the elves got some snow over to france, hope the hit the right spot! and also looks like california is finally getting some rain?---dang elves took them months to get it over there!

Ya, I haven't heard anything back. They tell us that we HAVE to check our email DAILY, yet they don't have too? Because we would NEVER have important questions... >< Stupid freaking teachers ed dept. They have been a thorn in my side...
